Nasal valve reconstruction is a functional rhinoplasty procedure designed to improve nasal airflow by correcting collapse or narrowing of the internal and/or external nasal valve. When appropriate, it may be combined with cosmetic rhinoplasty to improve both breathing and nasal appearance.
The nasal valve is the narrowest part of the nasal airway.
Because it is the narrowest point, the nasal valve plays a critical role in breathing. According to the clinic's brochure, narrowing or collapse of this area can cause persistent nasal obstruction, difficulty breathing during exercise, snoring, and reduced quality of life. Reconstruction restores airflow by supporting or widening this region while preserving nasal support.
